The Land O’Lakes Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life in communities where Land O’Lakes, Inc. has members, employees, plants and facilities. The Foundation proactively helps rural communities prosper and prepare for tomorrow through seven grassroots giving programs focused on education and youth, human services, civic and art endeavors. The Land O’Lakes Foundation recently made its final $20,000 pledged donation to the Kaweah Delta Hospital Foundation. The foundation’s several donations, which totaled $40,000, are helping finance the construction of the hospital’s North Expansion. The expansion project of the hospital, located in Visalia, Calif., will include 135 new beds, a cardiac services program, maternity services and an emergency department. Scheduled for an early 2009 opening, construction on the exterior is nearing completion with interior work moving forward at a rapid pace. Kaweah Delta Health Care District, located in Tulare County, is one of the area’s most progressive health care providers. Its mission for more than 40 years has been to serve its community’s health care needs. This donation is another example of how the Land O’Lakes Foundation remains committed to improving the quality of life in communities where Land O'Lakes has members, employees, plants and facilities.
